The Painter Pack : Mya Boo Boo, aka, MBB

This is Mya Boo Boo. She was rescued from a backyard breeder at around 7 weeks and we were lucky enough to get her! MBB has always been shy around people and does not like strangers. For this reason, she cannot go on walks. But what she does love is running in the back yard with Jedi, her son. And T-bone, her brother.

When Mya first came to us, we had Koova...he was our first husky. They bonded instantly. It was obvious to us that theirs was true love. At 14 months old, Mya became pregnant with an unexpected litter of Koova puppies! I think this is when she began to change into a strong woman-dog. And when Mya and I became so very close.

On the day of delivery, Mya had one pup, Jedi, at home in our closet. However, the rest of the pups were not coming and Mya was in obvious distress. We rushed her to the vet where, for the next 12 hours, I waited and watched her slowly give birth to 6 more puppies.

This event bonded us like never before. I helped to deliver her babies, and she let me. Mya is definitely a special girl!
