Hello again! Mom here with another new addition to our Pack!
MBB: I have a new baby!! |
Once again, I went to the grocery store...same one where we found Bailey...only this time on a Saturday morning when the flea market was open. There are always people in the parking lot selling and giving away puppies. I try not to look. Mind you, I said "try"....
When I saw these puppies, I not only stopped, but I held one. That was it....the man was giving away chocolate labs...and yes, I took one.
So, without further delay, please welcome Reesie Cup to our family!
The man said she was 6 weeks, but I'd say no more than 5...maybe even 4. She couldn't eat hard food, only soft. She was covered in fleas and has sensitive skin. You'll notice in some of the more recent photos, her hair has been shaved from her back. This is so the medicated shampoo can get to the skin better.
MBB: I will teach woo how to be a husky! |
Here is our little girl, shortly after I brought her home.
We estimate that she is 8 weeks old now. Eats like a little piglet, plays and runs through the house with Bailey and her Doggie-mama (MBB). Her skin is getting better, but the vet said it will just take time. That's fine...as long as she is healthy!
Reesie and Bailey play really great. But Mya is never far away. Our cat Salem (black) is fascinated with the new puppy and usually sits on the back of the love seat and just supervises.
Bailey: I has a new sister! |
Yahooooo!!! Let's play some more! |
To say that our home is full is such an understatement! Eight dogs and two cats. And I couldn't be happier! We need to invest in additional crates, plus the two new girls need to be spayed. Right now, since I just went back to work, money is tight. But happiness doesn't come with a price tag. So, we'll make do and take all the slobbery kisses and furry hugs we can get!!
Painter Mom
PS....my son vows to hide the car keys from me each weekend so I can't go near the flea market again! LOL!

ROFL! You sound like Jen. Every time someone rescues an animal they call her. One good thing about the bad economy- she's learning to say no.
Welcome you lucky little one! You are going to be so safe and happy and loved. You human mom is SO right happiness doesn't come with a price tage...and take goodness her heart has no limit on the number of animals she can love! We wish you and your entire family blessings and bounty and always, love!
Oh, never a dull moment around your house! We just visited your new cat blog. Nice!
Oh, what a cutie! Makes me want another puppy! I love a house filled with love and sloppery furbaby kisses! And what a good little Husky mommy the pup has too! Have fun!
She is gorgeous...she's sooo very lucky to have found herself a wonderful new home, as did Bailey!!
Your mom is a wonderful person, and I think the pups know, that's why they draw her like a magnet. You do have a full house now.. a house that is full of LOVE!
